It?s not essential but it does give you a head start with the work that you cover at degree level. A lot of psychology degree students say how useful they find the A2 psychology course.
This will depend on your course. A BA hons is unlikely to involve a lot of biology, but a BSc will contain more science modules. You usually get to choose options in the final year, but you will be taught some bio-psychology at the beginning. In short, there are no hard-and-fast rules. The best thing to do is to contact the university you are interested in attending and to ask them to send you details of their courses.

Have a think about what career you might like to get into and then do some research through your careers adviser as to whether a psychology degree is useful/beneficial.
