The PsYonline Team agreed that websites linked to the PsYonline site should suit a range of abilities. When a possible web site was found, it was rated out of 10 against the following criteria.

We rate our resources as D.E.L.I.C.A.T.E.

• Design
  • Is it well laid out?
  • Good use of colour? Attractive?
  • Printable for the purposes of revision?
• Evaluation
  • Does it discuss advantages/disadvantages?
  • Will it help students with AO2 marks?
• Language
  • Is it readable? Pitched at the right level?
  • Will it encourage students to develop good writing skills?
• Interactive
  • Are there online activities?
  • Does it encourage students to respond?
  • Are there live links to related topics?
• Content
  • Is it up-to-date?
  • Does it stay close to the syllabus or does it have many irrelevant aspects?
• Author
  • Is the author credible?
  • Do they have knowledge of the AQA course?
  • Are they a teacher/university lecturer?
• Textbooks
  • Does it offer more breadth and depth to what is available in most textbooks?
• Evidence
  • Is the content based on sound evidence?
  • Does it have references/suggested further readings?

Sites rated below 6 are not considered suitable for the site.
